WHO: All OADC Contract Paralegals

 

WHAT: Westlaw Paralegal Certification Course, followed by a check-in with OADC staff and other contract paralegals

 

WHEN: Wednesday, April 21st, from 12:00-2:30 p.m.

COST: FREE!

 

WHAT ELSE: OADC's Westlaw representative/trainer, Tina Tierney, will provide a two-hour training course on Westlaw and legal research. This course is designed specifically for paralegals and allows paralegals to become "certified" at the end of the course after completing a short quiz. Tina has assured me the quiz is not tricky; it just ensures people paid attention. After passing the short quiz, you will receive a certificate and credit that is NALA approved. Also, if you don't already have access to Westlaw and need it to do legal research on your OADC cases, we may be able to help. Reach out for details.

 

After the Westlaw session ends, we will spend time checking in with our paralegals from around the state. Bring whatever issues you'd like to discuss or brainstorm with the group.
