OUT-OF-COURT INTERPRETER PROCEDURES
Attorneys:
Use of out-of-court interpreters must follow the below guidelines. The on-line Interpreter Request Form can be found on the "A-Z Forms" link at www.coloradoadc.org (OADC contractors must log in to view the form link).
Attorney will fill out on-line the OADC Interpreter Request Form for all interpreter requests regardless of language or amount of time for which an interpreter will be needed. Once the form is filled out completely, click on the blue “submit” button at the bottom of the page and the request will be sent to the OADC for review. Once reviewed by the OADC, the approval or denial will be emailed directly to both the attorney and the interpreter.
ALL INTERPRETER REQUEST MUST BE DONE ON-LINE AND IN ADVANCE OF COMPLETING THE WORK AS THIS FORM WILL BE NEEDED WHEN THE INTERPRETER SUBMITS THEIR INVOICE FOR PROCESSING. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A DELAY OF PAYMENT.
Interpreters:
- Beginning January 1, 2020, all out-of-court interpreter work done thru the OADC will need to be approved in advance of completing the work regardless of the language and the amount of time for which an interpreter will be needed. Do not begin any work until you are emailed an approval from the OADC which states the hours approved on the case. It is your responsibility to let the attorney know if/when you need additional hours over what was previously approved.
