Racial Justice Advocacy: A conversation with Dr. Apryl Alexander,
Representatives Leslie Herod & Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez
November 9th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Join us for this important conversation. Dr. Apryl Alexander will talk about her work relating to the Black Lives Matter movement, how her work is informed by her lived experience, and how our work can support ongoing progress for racial justice issues in the criminal legal system.
Representatives Leslie Herod and Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez will join us for the second and third hours to discuss how their lived experience affects their advocacy and work on a daily basis and any legislative issues that we can be aware of going into the next legislative session that will affect progress for racial justice issues in the criminal legal system. They will also speak to us about how we can get involved in supporting lasting change through our work.
CLEs/CPD Hours: FSWs/FCAs will receive 3 CPD hours and we will apply for CLE credit
